Giant homes are generally a waste of money and, in some cases, massive eyesores. But in poverty-stricken India, you can’t help but feel a twinge of utter anger at the story of a Mumbai man who built a $1billion home he doesn’t even live in.

The 27-story building features all the amenities a wealthy person will probably never need: helicopter landing pads, floating gardens, and innumerable parking lots. However, thanks to a bit of superstition, billionaire Mukesh Ambani refuses to move in, rendering everything completely unusable.

Apparently the building lacks the proper feng shui, also known as vastu shastra in India. A lack of eastern-facing windows prevents everything from facing the sunrise, which is considered bad luck.

As a result, the 9th richest man in the world is forced to live in a “modest” 14-story elsewhere in Mumbai. The building of the home, called Antilla (and not Xanadu 2: Electric Boogaloo), has apparently caused cries of outrage due to being what is called an ”ostentatious show of wealth” in poverty-stricken Mumbai.

Solution: Move all the poor into the home and make Ambani pay for it.
