FED up with a crying toddler during the World Cup, a Texas man allegedly killed his own stepdaughter and jammed a screw down her throat to cover up the murder, according to a local report.

Hector Castro, a 28-year old illegal immigrant, allegedly snapped when the young girl would not stop crying during the USA-Ghana match on Saturday afternoon (local time).

He allegedly severely beat the child, cracking several of her ribs. He followed up by suffocating her in front of the television set

United pilot detained for removing pants in Rio airport

A United Airlines pilot was briefly detained at the international airport in Rio de Janeiro after lowering his pants during a security screening, police said Saturday.

Pilot Michael D. Slynn, 49, was asked to remove his belt and shoes as part of a routine security screening Friday afternoon. In response, Slynn laughed at security guards and lowered his pants to his ankles, said a police spokesman who was prohibited by departmental rules from giving his name.

The mother of Ya Wen says her daughter’s personality changed after she was hit by a speeding van last year. The little girl was in a coma for five days and suffered severe injuries, the U.K.’s Daily Mail reports.

The girl’s mother, Gao, said when her daughter awoke, she started acting like an adult and she caught the child with her father’s cigarettes in the washroom. At first the little girl stole them, but now she gets them on credit from a local store.

Bethany Lott, 25, was struck and killed by lightening atop a mountain, minutes before her boyfriend was poised to pop the question.

Richard Butler, 30, took Lott hiking in the North Carolina Mountains on Friday.

A neighbour caught Gusti Ngurah Alit allegedly wooing the farm animal on Sunday, the village chief on the resort island of Bali said, the Times newspaper in Johannesburg,

“He was caught by one of the residents standing naked while holding the back of the cow,” village chief Embang Ida Bagus Legawa said in the newspaper.

Alit said he didn’t see an animal, he saw a beautiful young woman.

“She called my name and seduced me, so I had sex with her,” the man told the newspaper.

Michelle Thomas, 26, was arrested on Tuesday after police were called around 1am to the couple’s house in the east Texas town of Hudson, Lufkin Daily News reports.

The man told police Ms Thomas became angry with him after a sex session left her unsatisfied.
